Wood is currently sourcing Trainee Insulators to join our PNG team on rotational basis (28 days on/off). Reporting to the Crew Leader / Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible to perform Insulating and lagging duties in a manner that protects safety, health and the environment, whilst conforming to quality and time requirements, and ensure good housekeeping habits at all times to maintain a safe worksite for everyone.
Understand and adhere to Stepback 5X5 principles in the performance of all duties
Understand and work to Permit System/s
Work closely with the team to safely remove/install insulation and lagging to pipework and equipment as required
Ensure timely completion of all QA documentation
Ensure all Insulation & Lagging is applied to the required standards as set by the Client or Wood
Assist tradesperson as and when required.
National Certificate 1,2 & 3 in Metal Fabrication & Welding (MFW)
Able to work effectively within Wood and client’s safety and controls environment
Able to multi-task and deal with a high volume of work and many competing tasks
Initiative and enthusiasm to solve problems and deliver results.
This role is open to PNG Nationals.
