We currently have a vacancy for an Area Sales Manager Food Services to join our already strong and vibrant Sales team in Lae. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager MOMASE, this important role is directly accountable for the performance of the Food Services distributions within our defined territory across all segments and achievements of Financial Budget for the relevant area. This role will also develop and manage customer plans and Channel strategy for their relevant customer base.
Your responsibilities will include:
Develop and lead pipeline of business opportunities across the Food service channel utilizing existing products, leveraging NPD opportunities and developing some customer bespoke products
Creating sustainable business relationships with key stake holders
Consistently review the in-year plan and financial metrics, and prioritize the requirements based on risks and opportunities in order to meet calendar year financial budget
Align cross functionally with the Key Account Manager & Bakery Account Manager to deliver optimum strategy for the customer
Leverage trend market insights to lead Category thinking with the customer
Work across traditional sales force to execute sales strategies
Attend rural exhibitions, agricultural shows and expos throughout the country whenever required to
Work cross functionally with Marketing R&D and Operations to develop and drive NPD to market
Create and execute customer seasonal sales drivers to deliver incremental gross profit and volume
Maintain compliance with OH&S and environmental standards, legislative requirements, policies and procedures
To be considered for the role, you will need to have/be:
5+ years in a Food Services role would is preferable
Strong cross functional internal and external stakeholder management is essential
Demonstrated experience in managing difficult existing customer relationships and Supply Agreements would be essential
Experience working with new customers and developing relationships quickly
Understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain drivers and value chain within Food services
Strong negotiation skills and customer relationships skills
